Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers!
What is ETCH? Who is it for?
ETCH stands for Equipping the Church and Home. The ETCH Family Ministry Conference is designed to excite, inspire, and engage kids, student, next generation, and family ministry leaders— both professional (church staff) and lay leaders (volunteers). We know that ministry is most effective when we break out of the silos that separate one ministry area from another. For this reason, we encourage you to bring key leaders from your entire next generation team to learn together, grow together, and lead together with the consistency and continuity that families need.
Can I bring my child with me to ETCH?
In order to provide the best and safest experience for our guests, in-person attendance will be extremely limited. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to make other arrangements for your children to allow other ministry leaders to attend. Every person over the age of two must have a full-price ticket to enter the event. No exceptions. Simulcast tickets are available as an alternative to attending in person.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds will be given for ETCH. This applies to both in-person and simulcast tickets.
My internet wouldn’t work. I couldn’t get the session to play. Can I get a refund?
No. All simulcast tickets include access to view the content for two weeks online. If you experience technical issues during the live simulcast, you may go back and watch at any time within the two-week viewing window. For live viewing, please plan to watch from a location with a strong internet connection.
I can no longer attend the event. Can I transfer my ticket over to someone else?
No, all sales are final. For both the in person and simulcast two-day event, if you cannot attend live, you may view the content at any time within the two-week access period.
What do I need to view the simulcast?
All you need is a strong internet connection and a streaming device. No refunds will be given for internet connectivity or buffering issues. Each ticket comes with access to the simulcast for up to two weeks after the event. We recommend testing your internet speed prior to purchasing a ticket to determine if your signal can handle video streaming.
Can I use a Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire to view the simulcast?
You may view the ETCH simulcast on the free Lifeway On Demand app available for Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV. Please note that the app only allows live streaming in real time; you will not be able to rewind or fast-forward. If viewing online at live.lifeway.com, you will be able to pause, rewind and fast-forward. You may also use an HDMI cable or screen-sharing application to cast or mirror your computer screen to a TV or projector to make group viewing easier.
How many breakout sessions can I attend?
There will be four hours of breakouts offered during the event. In-person attendees will get to choose which breakout to attend each hour. One breakout each hour will be broadcasted live for simulcast attendees. 30 additional breakouts will be available to view after the event on the ETCH 2021 Digital Pass. The Digital Pass comes free with the in person ticket, and is also available for purchase.
What is included in my in-person ticket?
Your in-person ticket affords you the opportunity to attend three main sessions plus your choice of four breakouts during the event. You will also receive a complimentary Digital Pass with 30 additional breakout sessions and event swag. Your ticket also includes lunch on Monday, a Block Party on Monday night, and a light breakfast on Tuesday morning. In-person attendees will also have access to shop in the ETCH store, preview featured ministry resources and exhibitors, and network with other ministry leaders.
What is included in my simulcast ticket?
With an individual (basic) simulcast ticket, you will be able to tune into the three main sessions plus four breakouts. With an individual plus simulcast ticket, you will also receive an ETCH 2021 Digital Pass with access to 30 additional, pre-recorded breakout sessions.
Does every person viewing the simulcast need a ticket?
Yes, each person viewing the ETCH simulcast will need to purchase a virtual seat in order to attend. This can be accomplished either by purchasing an individual or individual plus ticket for each person OR by purchasing the Church/Group Host license with the appropriate number of seats (i.e. up to 5 people, 6–10 people, or 10+).
How does the Church/Group Host license work?
ETCH is most fun when you can attend with friends! If your team is unable to come to Nashville, we’d love for you to gather together to watch the simulcast as a group. You may even want to invite other churches to join you! Choose the Church/Group Host ticketing tier that best matches the number of people who will be attending and then assign a virtual “seat” to each person. Remember, each person watching will need his/her own “seat.” Watch together or watch separately—it’s up to you!
What’s included on the Digital Pass?
The ETCH 2021 Digital Pass includes all of the main sessions and breakouts (some breakouts are audio-only) from the live event plus 30 brand-new, pre-recorded breakouts. Use these bonus sessions to equip yourself and your team after ETCH. Digital Pass content will be available for one year (from October 18, 2021 to October 1, 2022). NOTE: The Digital Pass is already included with all in-person tickets and “Individual Plus” simulcast tickets.
